Join us for our annual Winter Solstice Gathering. Now in its fifth year, this a special celebration to mark the turning of the seasons and celebrate light, connection, and community.

Please note: This is a family event – children must be supervised by a parent or carer at all times. Bring a picnic blanket and anything you need to feel cosy and comfortable outdoors – but most of all, bring your sense of curiosity and your inner light.

What's included:

Yarning circle: As families arrive, you are invited to connect with each other and our beautiful natural surroundings. We will share a moment to talk about what the solstice is, what it means and why we gather as a community at this special time of the year.

Crafting Lanterns: Children will be making their special lanterns - think of this as a family craft of love, where everyone is invited to join in. Lanterns will be decorated with watercolours, beeswax pastels, nature foliage, strings and yarns, and lit with a flameless candle.

 Storytelling: We gather in circle with our lanterns and listen to the story of How the Sun was reborn - a special story about gratitude, community and sharing our own light.

Group Walk: As the sun begins to set, we’ll walk together with our lanterns, and share a last moment of stillness and wonder as the last light dips below the horizon, and we prepare for the longest night of the year.

Best value for first-time families! Includes entry for 1 child and up to 2 adults, all crafting materials, plus your own copy of the Growing with Nature book (RRP $55) to keep the seasonal rhythms alive at home. (Saves $15 on the retail book price!) 

Standard Workshop Ticket – $45 

Includes entry for 1 child and up to 2 adults, and all seasonal craft materials. (Perfect for returning families who already own the book).

Sibling Add-on – $30 

Includes craft materials and entry for an additional child in the family. Siblings under 2 are welcome to join us for free.
