Growing with Nature: Welcome Spring

Spring has officially arrived! The earth is waking up from its winter rest, filling the air with fresh green life, warm sunshine, and the busy sounds of nature in full bloom.

Come and celebrate with us with a morning of outdoor fun, nature crafts and community love.

Who's it for: Families with children 0 to 10 yrs

What's included:

• A Storytelling Circle: We open our morning with a big yarning circle under the trees, sharing a seasonal story about how our feathered friends are preparing for breeding season. Following the story, we will create little nests from twigs and yarn, to help us appreciate the labour and love that goes into these little wonders of nature.

  
  

• Guided Exploration: I Spy... We set off for a guided walk through the gardens searching for birds' nests tucked away in the branches. Using field guides and binoculars, we will spot the different birds that live in the Botanic Gardens and notice their behaviour.

  
  

• Seasonal Nature Craft: Grown-ups and children work side-by-side on a nature art project. To celebrate Spring, we will create beautiful Dream Pillows - cozy little sachets filled with wildflowers and soothing herbs to keep by your bedside to help you drift into a peaceful sleep.

These seasonal gatherings are an invitation for your family to slow down, disconnect from the busy week, and enjoy a few hours immersed in nature together. While these events offer a wonderful educational experience for the whole family, they remain deeply child-focused and play-based—giving children a warm, intentional space to learn, play, and truly grow with nature as a community.

Best value for first-time families! Includes entry for 1 child and up to 2 adults, all crafting materials, plus your own copy of our Growing with Nature book (RRP $55) to keep the seasonal rhythms alive at home. (Saves $15 on the retail book price!) 

Standard Workshop Ticket – $45 

Includes entry for 1 child and up to 2 adults, and all seasonal craft materials.

Sibling Add-on – $15 

Includes craft materials and entry for an additional child in the family. Siblings under 2 are welcome to join us for free.
