Ignite a love of nature through play
Big Scrub is a small forest school nestled among the trees of Noosa Botanic Gardens, where play becomes an opportunity to cultivate compassion, kindness and awareness.
Outdoors we don’t just have fun; we learn about respect, empathy, kindness and living in harmony. Our vision is to support children, families and communities reconnect with nature through play, simple mindfulness practices and storytelling.
Our programs
Growing with Nature Forest School
Early education rooted in the beauty and wonder of nature. This is a gentle forest school / nature play program inspired by seasonal rhythms. For to children birth to six years, every Wednesday at Noosa Botanic Gardens.
Storytelling with Nature
We believe in the quiet magic of stories told beneath the trees, in the soft rhythm of footsteps on forest paths, and in the deep remembering that happens when we truly listen to Mother Earth. Join one of our workshops to discover the wonderful intersection of storytelling and nature.
Community Events
Community is at the heart of what we do, and we regularly host events to share our love for nature with children and families. Join us for monthly beach clean ups, festivals and celebrations throughout the year.

Nature immersive experiences for early childhood centres and primary schools — gentle story walks, mindful crafting, circle time and play.
