Restorative Storytelling for
nature connection

Restorative Storytelling™ for Nature Connection is a gentle, experiential professional development offering that supports emotional wellbeing, connection and belonging through story, nature and reflective practice.

Grounded in oral storytelling traditions, nature-based pedagogy and relational facilitation, this work invites educators and community practitioners to slow down, reconnect with meaning, and rediscover story as a restorative tool — for themselves and for the children and communities they support.

This is not performance-based storytelling, nor a content-heavy training. It is a lived, embodied experience that nourishes presence, listening, imagination and relationship.

Why restorative storytelling?

Educators and community practitioners are carrying more than ever — cognitive load, emotional labour, and increasing expectations around wellbeing and inclusion. This kind of intuitive, restorative storytelling offers a different way of working.

Through simple, nature-connected story practices, participants are supported to:

  • Regulate and slow the nervous system

  • Strengthen relational presence and listening

  • Create shared meaning and belonging

  • Support emotional literacy in gentle, accessible ways

  • Reconnect with purpose and joy in their work

When grounded in nature, storytelling becomes a powerful, low-cost, low-pressure practice that supports wellbeing without adding more to already full plates.
