NATURE EXPLORERS FOREST SCHOOL - WEDNESDAY

Join us in term 2 for our Nature Explorers Forest School program (10 weeks) in the beautiful and tranquil settings of the Noosa Botanic Gardens, on Gubbi Gubbi Country.

This Forest School program is specifically designed for children aged 3 years+ who want something slightly more challenging and learning focused. Younger children are still invited to attend and enjoy a morning of sensory play, stories, movement and fun with us.

Following our Growing with Nature program, each month we explore a different theme, based on what is happening in the natural world around us. See below for more details.

Some activities include:

• Bush walk learning about the local fauna and flora

• Learn about Indigenous culture and practices

• Foraging for edible seeds and fruits and bush tucker

• Building cubbies and shelters

• Nature connection games

• Sewing, finger knitting, felting

• Crafting and making art with natural and eco-friendly materials - clay, earth pigments, watercolours, felt, wool, beeswax

• Ecological oral storytelling

  
  

All our programs are facilitated by fully qualified and experienced forest school & therapeutic nature play mentors. Parents are required to be on site and are responsible for their children at all times. Siblings under 18 months are welcome to tag along for free.

April - Creating and connecting with clay

May - The magic of bees ( includes an off-site visit to a local beekeeper on May 21, 2025 )

June - Winter solstice magic

INVESTMENT

• $35 weekly for casual bookings, $30 for term enrolments (available on a pro-rata basis until week 5).

• Siblings discounts

• Children 0 - 2.5 yrs $25 weekly

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please note this is an all-weather outdoor program so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Our programs will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather – torrential rain, storms, high temperatures and strong winds. If a session is cancelled by Big Scrub Nature Play due to unsafe weather conditions or other unforeseeable circumstances, you will be offered a credit toward future bookings.
