Holistic Nature Playgroup for mama & child. Join us on in our rainforest garden as we gather to celebrate the seasons and explore all that the earth has to offer.
Our weekly Little Explorers Nature Playgroup program focuses on sensory nature play, nature themed art and craft activities, storytelling, songs, games, unstructured play and plenty of opportunities to build gross motor skills through climbing, balancing and movement.
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS PROGRAM
Get kids off the screens and into our Forest school these school holidays. They’ll learn life skills and how to use real tools while making friends and building confidence in the outdoors.
Every child should have memories of adventurous fun with friends! What better way to spend these school holidays out in nature, playing, exploring and learning together with your child?
We are very excited to introduce our school holidays program.
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS NATURE PLAYGROUP
For children 2-6 yrs old, accompanied by a parent.
An all-weather, all-outdoor playgroup for little explorers. We gather in our rainforest garden for a morning of play and exploration. This playgroup has a strong focus on nature craft, sensory play and storytelling with a gentle, slower pace. An example of activities might include mud play, bush crafts, earth painting, nature stamping, creating with clay, gardening, sewing, baking, water and ice play, hammering and exploring in nature.
Please bring a change of clothes - your child will get dirty! Sun hat and gumboots or enclosed shoes for your child (and yourself) are also essential.
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS FOREST SCHOOL
For children 4-8 yrs old, accompanied by a parent.
Forest School is for older children who are ready to take on more challenging and risky play and activities. We follow the Forest Schooling philosophy where we provide the time, the space and the tools for children to learn new skills in nature through play.
Activities might include:
Starting, managing and cooking on fire
How to use hand tools such as hammers, bow saws and whittling knives
How to tie knots and lashings
Building bugs and bees hotels
Creating with clay, mud and other natural resources
This is a 100% outdoor, all-weather program. Please bring a change of clothes, sun hat and gumboots or enclosed shoes for your child (and yourself!) and a piece of fruit to share for our morning tea.
