Info sull'evento
This introductory course has been specifically created for those who want to explore the power of storytelling in nature as a tool for creativity, self-discovery, for building and restoring community.
Drawing on the Restorative Storytelling™ approach and rooted in the Australian landscape and natural cycles, we explore practices that help us enter a state of full sensory perception and body awareness while immersed in a natural environment. With this new embodied presence we can craft intentional, healing, transformational stories that bring nourishment to the heart and spirit of those who listen, and those who tell.
Attendees will have the opportunity to create and practise their own unique nature stories in a safe and supportive environment, gaining skills and confidence to use and adapt the Restorative Storytelling™ in their life and workplace.
Here's an outline of what we will cover:
Session 1
Embodied presence. Using mindful nature connection practices, we explore practical ways to open our awareness to our natural surroundings, tuning all of our senses to the beauty and liveliness of nature.
Session 2
Listen like a storyteller. Stories are hiding everywhere, especially in the natural world. A mycelium of narratives unfolding in every moment. We learn to become invisible and listen like a storyteller, so the stories can find us.
Session 3
Find the Golden Thread - weaving stories with narrative density.
Session 4
Storytelling and casting spells with your voice.
Who will benefit from this course
This course has been designed for parents, educators, teachers, professionals who work in outdoor settings and creatives from all paths. No previous storytelling experience required.
