Our mission is to inspire children and families to spend more time in nature - to slow down, have fun, get dirty, learn practical skills and sometimes simply be free to just be.
Nature is our teacher. Its rhythms inspire our curriculum. We use play, mindfulness and storytelling to nurture a deeper connection with Mother Earth, with our community and with ourselves.
ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Lidia! In 2019, I started Big Scrub with the vision of sharing my love for nature play and nature pedagogy with families and educators across Australia.
But along the way, I discovered that intentional time spent in nature with our children can offer so much more - it can become a tool for presence, and above all, connection.
